Verity reads contracts so that lawyers can spend less time doing it. In-house legal teams upload their agreements and Verity pulls renewal dates, liability caps, change-of-control clauses and other terms into a searchable register, flagging anything that departs from the company's standard positions. A typical customer has 20,000 to 50,000 contracts under management.
Julia practised corporate law in New York for eight years, and Femi had led machine learning work at a financial data company. When we led the Series A in 2016, Verity had 30 customers and an unusually high rate of expansion within each one. Nadia joined the board and stayed through the listing.
Verity went public on the NYSE in 2022. More than 1,800 legal departments now use it, and the company has since added tools for drafting and negotiation.
